Founded in Iceland we started visitthevolcanoes.com to create a platform that makes it easy for people interested in volcanology to connect with other volcano enthusiasts. In the months to come we hope to make it easier to learn about the volcanoes of the World, and hopefully also - to visit the volcanoes.

2017 we started a small tour company www.reykjavikerupts.is offering theoretical tours about how an eruption could act out near Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. The common belief was that the area was inactive. Frequent eruptions there in a few years time has inspired us to further explore the living Earth.

We want to build a platform that's packed with information about the volcanoes of the World. We want to become the one place to seek information whether you are writing an essay or planning a trip to visit a volcano.
